What You’ll Need
- Coolaroo Heavy Duty Shade Cloth
- Measuring tape
- Scissors or a Coolaroo Shade Cloth Cutter

1. Measure Your Area
- Measure the area to be screened or covered.
- Allow extra fabric for fixing and tensioning.
- Install with a slight slope where possible to assist water run-off.
2. Cut to Size
- Trim using scissors or the Coolaroo Shade Cloth Cutter.
- Knitted fabric will not fray.
3. Attach to Supports
- Use Coolaroo Timber Fasteners for hardwood and Coolaroo Timber Studs for softwood posts.
- Secure to fences, railings, or temporary structures using Coolaroo Tie Wraps, Butterfly Clips, or Round Clips.
- For custom joins or reinforced edges, use Coolaroo Lacing Cord & Needle.

4. Secure & Tension
- Space fixings evenly around the perimeter for a neat finish.
- Fix one corner first, then the opposite corner.
- Install fixings every 300–500 mm for even tension.
- Pull fabric taut without overstretching.
