What You’ll Need
- Coolaroo Decorative Fence Shade Cloth
- Measuring tape
- Scissors or a Coolaroo Shade Cloth Cutter

- Tie Wraps – for securing to wire fences, railings, or mesh panels
- Butterfly Clips or Round Clips – for easy attachment along edges and corners
- Lacing Cord & Needle – for joining panels or creating reinforced fixing points
- Timber Fasteners & Timber Studs – for fixing to timber posts or frames
1. Measure Your Fence Area
- Measure the fence or area to be screened.
- Allow extra fabric at the edges for securing.
- Check post spacing and fixing points before installation.
2. Cut to Size
- Cut using scissors or the Coolaroo Shade Cloth Cutter.
- Knitted fabric will not fray.
- Ensure knitted eyelets remain intact along the edges.
3. Attach to Fence or Frame
- Secure shade cloth by fixing through the knitted eyelets using Coolaroo Tie Wraps, Butterfly Clips, or Round Clips.
- Fix to timber posts or frames using Coolaroo Timber Fasteners or Timber Studs.
- For wider spans or panel joins, use Coolaroo Lacing Cord & Needle.

4. Secure & Tension
- Start fixing from one top corner, then move to the opposite side.
- Space fixings evenly along edges for a clean, decorative finish.
- Install fixings every 300–500 mm for consistent tension or follow the knitted eyelet spacing.
- Pull fabric taut without overstretching to maintain appearance.
